United Hands is a non-profit humanitarian organisation based in Edmonton, Canada, dedicated to building an inclusive and supportive community for African newcomers and refugees, with a special focus on seniors. We believe in the power of collective action to create sustainable, positive change in people’s lives, wherever they are, through collaborative efforts and impactful initiatives that uphold justice, dignity, and equality.
Inspired by noble human values, we operate with a spirit of cooperation and partnership—engaging local communities and other organisations to foster cultural and social integration. Our work is grounded in transparency, credibility, and a firm commitment to creating thriving, discrimination-free communities.

To empower Black newcomers and refugees in Edmonton by offering holistic programmes that promote social inclusion, cultural integration, and personal development—with a particular focus on improving the quality of life for seniors. We are also committed to implementing sustainable development, educational, and health initiatives that foster social responsibility and collaborative action, built on a foundation of transparency and integrity.
Our Goals
Promote self-sufficiency and resilience among underserved populations through education, training, and community engagement programs.
Provide essential services including food assistance, housing support, and mental health resources to individuals and families in need.
Facilitate the integration of newcomers and immigrants into Canadian society by offering language support, mentorship, and cultural orientation.
Create safe and enriching environments for youth and families through after-school programs, workshops, and recreational activities.
Advocacy for social justice and raise awareness about issues affecting marginalized communities.
